Kathy Chinn is from San Francisco, California. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Arts and also has attended the Academy of Art University where she studied animation and fine art. Through her study of fine art, she became mesmerized by color and how slight variations can give dimension to a work of art.
 
Working with glass has been a vehicle for self-expression. She loves giving color to glass using cane and murrine to form beautiful textured pieces. Her pieces are whimsical and sometimes quirky, reflecting her desire to bring vibrancy and life to every creation.
